Spain Golden Visa
Spain is known for its European standard of living, education and health care. Spain has been a member of the EU since 1985 and in the Schengen area since 1995. Spain launched its golden visa program in 2013.
Eligibility
Main Applicant needs to be at least 18 years of age. Family members may be included such as spouse, financially dependent children up to the age of 18 years and financially dependent parents from both sides. Only Non-EU Applicants may apply for this program and there are no restrictions to nationalities. Health insurance is required.

Minimum stay requirement
There are no minimum stay requirements to obtain the residency status. However, those willing to apply for the citizenship will be required to reside at least 6 months within a year for ten years.
Language test
Language test is not required when applying for Spain Golden Visa. However, should you wish to apply for citizenship after 10 years of residency, you will be asked to sit for the Spanish language test and to demonstrate your knowledge of the country.
Process
The process of becoming a resident under Spain Golden Visa program takes only around 2-3 months. Residency cards renewed every two years. After five years of residency in Spain and complying with the requirements of the program one has a right to apply for the permanent residence status. After 10 years one may apply for the Spain citizenship.
Tax
You will not be taxed on a worldwide income unless you reside in Spain for more than 183 days a year. Income derived from Spain such as rental of property is taxable at a rate of 24%.
