As have been announced in March 2022, Russian and Belarusian nationals were not allowed to apply for any of the five Caribbean countries’ citizenship by investment programs. These include Grenada, Antigua & Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, Dominica and St. Lucia. The ban for Grenada has been lifted as of second week of July 2022. Only non-sanctioned applicants will be considered for Grenada citizenship by investment and due diligence search will apply to all individuals.
Antigua and Barbuda has followed with the same approach. Russian and Belarusian nationals may now again apply for the citizenship by investment only with the condition that they are not sanctioned internationally or are not connected with any person or company that is in the sanctioned list. Ukrainians, however, are still not welcome to apply. The remaining Caribbean countries such as St. Kitts and Nevis, Dominica and St. Lucia are still not lifting the ban.
